        Copper mirror is a special optical component, mainly used in laser technology, and its base material is copper or copper alloy. The copper mirror reflects the laser beam through its highly reflective surface to guide, focus, or change the direction of the laser beam. Because of its high thermal conductivity, good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, copper has a unique application advantage in laser systems.

Material

       Base material: The base of the copper mirror is usually made of oxygen-free copper or copper alloy, which not only has good thermal conductivity, but also can withstand the irradiation of high-power laser beam without damage.

       Coated: In order to improve the reflectivity, the surface of the copper mirror is usually plated with one or more layers of dielectric film or metal film (such as silver, aluminum, gold, etc.). The coated copper mirror enables high reflectivity over a wider wavelength range and has better durability and stability.

Advantages

       1.High thermal conductivity: The high thermal conductivity of the copper material enables the copper mirror to dissipate heat rapidly in the high-power laser system, keep the temperature of the mirror stable, and avoid performance degradation or damage caused by high temperature.

       2.High reflectivity: By coating treatment, the laser copper mirror can achieve nearly 100% reflectivity, effectively reducing the energy loss of the laser beam during transmission.

       3.Corrosion resistance: The copper material itself has a certain corrosion resistance, which can resist the erosion of environmental factors to a certain extent and extend the service life of the mirror.

 

        Copper mirrors are divided into parabolic copper mirrors and flat copper mirrors, which are different in form and function. The reflecting surface of the parabolic copper mirror is a paraboloid, that is, a reflecting device made of the shape formed by the rotation of the parabola, and the reflecting surface of the flat copper mirror is a plane, that is, the mirror is flat, without concave and convex.
